Bugatti Veyron oil change costs Rs 14 lakhs – Costlier than buying new Mahindra XUV500
You could buy a BMW 7 Series for the money it takes to replace the Veyron's alloy wheels!
The Bugatti Veyron Supersport is not just any other fast car, but is also one of the most expensive ones to own and maintain. Earlier, American car collector Alejandro Solomon who goes by the name Solomondrin on Youtube and Instagram gave us a fair idea on the maintenance costs of this engineering marvel.
Now, YouTuber Royalty Exotic Cars tells us how expensive it is to just change the oil in a Bugatti Veyron. Considering that the Bugatti Veyron Supersport was created with high precision components and top-notch materials inside out, it doesn’t come as a surprise that even a single random component costs more than a regular mid-size sedan.
For example, tyres which are recommended by Bugatti to be replaced in every 4,000 km would set you back somewhere around USD 30,000 (around Rs 19.63 lakhs)!
A scheduled service which needs to be done once in a year is priced at around USD 30,000 (Rs 19.63 lakhs) of which engine oil alone costs USD 21,000 (around Rs 14 lakhs, you can but a brand new Mahindra XUV500 SUV in that money)! Watch the oil change video below, and understand why it is this expensive to change oil in a Bugatti Veyron.
A set of rims for the Veyron Supersport would cost around USD 120,000 (around Rs 78.5 lakhs)! No wonder spotting a Bugatti on a public road is extremely rare.
And for every three tyre changes, Bugatti recommends changing rims as well since the tyres are glued to the wheels (to prevent them from coming off due to the sheer power output). And we thought maintaining your mid-size luxury sedan is expensive!
