Bugatti reveals their show-car for Frankfurt, before Chiron debut in Geneva next year

Unveiled as a show car, the virtual race car is in celebration of Bugatti’s racing history and is developed along with Polyphony Digital Inc., creator of the Gran Turismo video game franchise.

The car is a tribute to its racing tradition of the 1920s and 1930s and various triumphs seen at the Le Mans 24 Hours races and is transformed into a reality specially for the 66th International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt.

There were two criterions for the making of this concept that the virtual car should look exactly like a Bugatti while each part of the vehicle had to be fully functional. It is with this in mind that the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo is built based on cutting edge racing technology and state of the art aerodynamics.

True to Bugatti design, the model receives a horse shoe front grille, 8 eyed LED headlights and a central fin in two versions one that is seen on the front and rear wings and the other that runs along the roof line.

Developed as a virtual car, and sporting Bugatti detailing in every aspect the design team is sure of its instant appeal to racing fans built in the classic blue two-tone finish, Bugatti’s brand colour.

The concept could also be the preview to what the design of their upcoming sportscar Chiron will be. As per CarMagazine, Chiron will be launched at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, at a price tag of $2.4 million (INR 16 crore approx). Featuring a hybrid power-train, Bugatti Chiron will be more powerful and faster than the Veyron.

More details on the concept will be revealed following its September 17 debut at Frankfurt Motor Show.
