Camaro inspired Chevrolet Cruze goes under the scissor

Bangalore based Motormind Automotive Designs has modified a Chevrolet Cruze to give it a new lease of life in a Chevrolet Camaro avatar. Not designed as a replica but more a version that’s inspired by Camaro. The Camaro inspired Chevrolet Cruze is quite the looker, and will get your attention on the road.

As with any mod job, what you’re looking at is months of hard work. The groundwork follows a built up approach on the Cruze. The front bumper mixes a bit of Camaro inspiration with individuality thrown in in plenty. The Camaro inspired Chevrolet Cruze borrows from the muse for an inspired hood. While at first glance similarities are hard to miss, it’s the dimensions that set the Camaro inspired Chevrolet Cruze mod apart from a wider bodied low slung Camaro.

The styling kit adaptation stays true to the Cruze’ original proportions rather than widen the sedan. 19-inch wheels sit in profound and large wheel arches with an air vent that compliment the air vents upfront. Scissor doors add oomph. The layered side skirt ends in a black encasing to match the line upfront, and rear. An aggressive diffuser and twin exhausts greet you at the rear. The all LED taillamps are custom built.

Interiors: The red and black contrast stitched upholstery is hard to miss. In fact all components follow the red and black colour theme including, dashboard, centre console, gear knob, steering wheel, speaker housing bezel, and pretty much all else.

The company has spent about 5-6 months producing most parts in-house. While cosmetic changes are aplenty in the Camaro inspired Chevrolet Cruze, power comes from the standard 2.0-litre diesel engine mated to six speed automatic transmission. There’s no details on whether the engine has been finetuned for performance enhancement, which would kind of be interesting.
