Mahindra and Skoda to offer free car pollution check today: World Environment Day

This not the first time that these two companies have been offering free car pollution check on World Environtment Day. They have been doing these for at least three consecutive years now.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be planting saplings on the occasion of World Environment Day being celebrated on 5th June 2015, automakers in India have announced free pollution checks.

The entire range of Mahindra and Mahindra vehicles will be eligible for free PUC check-up on World Environment Day, which is being celebrated across the globe today – June 5, 2015.

This not the first time that these two companies have been offering free car pollution check on World Environment Day. They have been doing these for at least three consecutive years now.

Mahindra is conducting this car pollution check nationwide. The initiative is in association with Society for Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and Society for Automotive Fitness & Environment (SAFE).

Customers are requested to bring in their vehicles to be put through these PUC checks which are being conducted free of cost at M&M’s 450 authorized workshops across India. Checks will be carried out to ensure that all vehicle emissions are well within the specified limited as indicated by transport authorities. M&M customers are requested to contact their nearest company dealers or register at the “With You Hamesha” 24 x 7 toll-free help line on 1800-209-6006.

Likewise, Skoda Auto India is also conducting free pollution checks along with Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Besides ensuring that all vehicles comply with permissible limits, the company will also be educating customers on conservation of energy and the urgent need to preserve the environment.

Skoda Auto India which currently markets the Octavia, Yeti, Superb and Rapid in India; have ensured that these models are produced using the latest in technologies and are built to conform to various emission standards. As a part of the company’s World Environment Day celebrations, the company will also encourage customers to plant more trees and will be providing them with free saplings.
