Car rams into petrol pump – Topples rickshaw and fuel dispenser machine (Video)

5 persons were injured after a car rammed into a petrol dispenser at Rajkot, Gujarat.

The accompanying video shows – what could have been a serious accident as a car rammed into a petrol dispenser at Giriraj petrol pump located near Atmiya College on Kalawad Road in Rajkot, Gujarat. As per local report, the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle due to which the accident occurred.

The driver of the car lost control of the speeding car and went on to hit an autorickshaw with the driver running out of the vehicle to safety. A total of 5 persons were injured in the incident which could have turned very serious if the fuel in the dispenser had caught fire on impact.

The CCTV footage shows how the driver rammed the car into the pole of a nozzle machine and then also knocked into a bike borne person present at the petrol station. The incident occurred at 11 am and the car driver has been identified as Sanjaybhai Rasikbhai Swain.

CCTV footage shows that around 100 mtrs from the petrol station, the speeding car crashed into a scooter with Sukha Parmar and Ravji Rupapra on board. Then the driver hit a divider, rammed into the petrol dispenser and also hit an autorickshaw parked nearby.

CCTV footage of the accident clearly shows that the car driver was speeding and hence lost control of the car. A case of rash driving has been registered against the car driver who sped away from the scene of the crime while leaving his passengers sitting in the car.

Inspector VS Vanzara of Rajkot Taluka police station, investigating the case has confirmed that a case has been registered and further investigations are underway.
