2016 India Bike Week preparations got off to a flying start with inaugural Mumbai Chai and Pakoda Breakfast Ride.

Bikers from over 23 biking clubs assembled for the IBW signature on ground event earlier this week, signaling the opening of IBW 2016 with a Chai and Pakoda Breakfast run. The bikers set off from Vashi Center One Mall on a 76 km ride to Sheetal Daa Dhabha via the old Mumbai Pune highway.

With special focus on safety, bikers were taken through the motions of riding safety by Mr. Arvind Salve, Deputy Commissioner of Police of Vashi who also flagged off the event. Bikers sped ahead led by IBW Marshal who was incharge of road discipline while a tailing ambulance service was on hand for any sort of medical emergencies which could arise enroute.

Arrival at Sheetal Daa Dhabha saw the bikers enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet while IBW team also held competitions for best dressed rider, youngest rider, coolest rider, best rider etiquette and farthest traveled rider. Wrangler biking merchandise were given away as prizes while musician Bianca Love put up a special performance.

The Chai and Pakoda ride is the official start to India’s largest biking festival, leading to the grand finale in Vagator, Goa on 19th and 20th February 2016.
