GM India has announced global debut of Chevrolet Beat Cross will take place at the 2016 Delhi Auto. The first teaser image, showcasing the front of the concept, has been revealed by the company.

Similar in a number of aspects to the new Chevrolet Beat (also known as Spark in some countries) which had its official premiere at the 2015 Seoul Motor Show in April last year, the new Chevrolet Beat Cross gets added plastic cladding on bumper, roof rails, projector headlights with LED DRL, circular LED foglights, faux aluminium skid plate, black piano plastic on the grille and black ORVM.

Only a concept as of now, launch plans are expected to be revealed at its debut in a few days. If launched in India, Chevrolet Beat Cross will be first in its segment to be offered as a cross. It will sit below the likes of Hyundai i20 Active, Volkswagen Polo Cross, Fiat Avventura, and Toyota Etios Cross.

As GM India bets big on the Indian markets a host of new launches are on the cards. Speaking about their presence at the Auto Expo, the company will be showcasing the new Chevrolet Spin MPV, Corvette, Camaro, Colorado pick-up, new Trailblazer SUV, Arda Concept and a facelifted Chevrolet Cruze.

An added investment into the company’s new facility in Maharashtra is also being planned while Chevrolet is set to make India the manufacturing hub for all small vehicles in its range. Localization percentage will be stepped up so as to allow the future cars, including 2017 Chevrolet Beat Cross to come in with aggressive pricing.
