Chevrolet celebrates centennial with Motorama event in Philippines
Chevrolet Philippines put their best foot forward in celebrating the company’s centennial. The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), exclusive importer and distributor of Chevrolet automobiles, parts, and accessories in Philippines offered gifts, prizes, freebies, and great ownership plans. This apart there are new car launches, and a sneak peek at their latest Pickup Truck.
Chevrolet Philippines went for the Chevy Motorama that provided the perfect platform to see new cars as well as travel back in time and marvel at iconic vehicles that have made Chevrolet what it is today. Albert Arcilla, TCCCI President and Managing Director had this to say. “Chevrolet celebrates its first 100 years with the same core values it has always had; dependable technology, expressive design and great value. The centennial year has seen the third generation Chevrolet Utility make waves in Brazil where one popularly knows it as the Chevrolet Montana. In South Africa, Chevrolet Utility production has surpassed 170 000 units with global sales rising above 500 000 units, which lists GMSA as contributing 30% of that total. The new Chevrolet Utility is powered by a 1.4 liter or 1.8 liter petrol engine mated to a manual 5-speed transmission. There’s a diesel powered Chevrolet Utility scheduled for a 2012 launch. The new platform is based on GM’s global small vehicle front-wheel drive architecture. In India, General Motors’ introduced the Chevrolet Beat diesel this centennial year.
