Chevrolet India announces car price hike from 1st Jan 2017

Chevrolet India has announced that prices of all their cars on sale in the country will be increased by 1% to 3% from 1st January 2017. Chevrolet India Vice President of Sales and Network, Mr. Hardeep Brar stated that price hike was announced due to higher input costs, currency fluctuations and an increase in other administrative costs and is in line with industry practice. This price hike as announced by Chevrolet India will make prices higher by INR 30,000 from the New Year.

With announcements of price hike from January 2017, Chevrolet dealerships across India are offering attractive deals to push sales and move stocks out of showrooms. The company’s ‘Dumdar December’ sales are expected to offer added year end benefits to buyers. These offers and the fact that prices will be increased soon makes December the perfect month to purchase new Chevrolet models.

The company also gears up for launch of the 2017 Chevrolet Beat which was spied testing across the Mumbai Pune Expressway last month. Chevrolet Essentia compact sedan, showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo is also slated for launch by the end of first quarter of next year which will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, VW Ameo, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Tata’s Zest.
