Being detailed on company website, the new Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV will be launched later this month in India. In India, it will come in via the CBU route and will be available in a single top spec LTZ variant only.
Measuring 4,878 mm in length, 1,902 mm in width, 1,847 mm in height and 2,845 mm in wheelbase, the new Trailblazer will compete with the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavor, Nissan X-Trail, SsangYong Rexton and Hyundai Santa Fe.
Based on a ladder frame chassis, Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV weighs a total of 2,068 kgs and has highest ground clearance in its segment at 231 mm. Fuel tank capacity stands at 76 liters while the hefty SUV sits on six spoke 18” wheels and boasts of projector headlamps, a massive bonnet and rounded bumpers.
The new Trailblazer also receives chrome finished ORVMs and other chrome accents on its exterior. The model will also boast of Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control and water wading capacity of 800mm.
Interiors are seen in beige upholstery with a black dashboard, Bluetooth enabled touchscreen, automatic climate controls, electrically adjusted driver seat and a multifunction steering wheel.
While globally Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV receives two engine options, the India spec model will be powered by a 2.8 liter Duramax DOHC diesel engine offering 200 hp power and 500 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission.
To be seen in 7 exterior colors of blue, white, brown, black, grey, red and silver, price estimates for the Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV is in the INR 25-30 lakh bracket.
