Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV price slashed by over INR 3 lakh

Chevrolet Trailblazer

In the last 6 months, only 28 units of Chevrolet Trailblazer has been sold in India. It rivals the likes of Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour, each of which have managed to sell above 3,000 units in the same period.

Chevrolet has just announced that its flagship ladder-on-frame Trailblazer premium SUV has been given a price cut of over INR 3 lakh. This has been done so as to give its sales a much needed boost ahead of the Diwali 2016 season.

The imposing SUV was first showcased in India at the 2014 Auto Expo. Thanks to the price cut, the new price of Chevrolet Trailblazer is INR 23.95 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi.

The Chevrolet Trailblazer will be available only in one 4x2 AT variant.

Assembled in India from Thai-sourced CKD kits, the Trailblazer SUV is available only in one variant, powered by a 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, driving only the rear wheels. The motor is capable of producing 200 PS and 500 Nm of torque.¬†Giving the inherent capabilities of the off-road friendly underpinnings, the Trailblazer’s could do with the 4×4 system which is available elsewhere.

Equipment list on offer includes multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, automatic climate control, roof-mounted AC vents for rear seats, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in, and so on.

In addition to the Trailblazer price, GM India has also slashed the price of their Enjoy MPV by about INR 2 lakh. GM India will replace the existing Trailblazer SUV with a facelift variant early next year.
