Citroen is now offering a new top-spec trim for its top-selling car, C3. The new trim level spawns four variants. Regular Shine variant, Shine Vibe Pack, Shine DT and Shine DT Vibe Pack.
Citroen C3 Shine trim costs between Rs. 7.6 lakh and Rs. 7.87 lakh (ex-sh, Delhi). It has now arrived at dealership showroom. Anubhav Chauhan has covered it in a detailed walkaround. He demonstrates everything new with Citroen C3 Shine trim and everything that Citroen should have added to make it an even more well-rounded product.
Citroen C3 Shine Walkaround – More Features
Citroen C3 Feel trim was the top-spec offering since its launch. It featured best-in-segment trendy features like a horizontally laid out 10.23” touchscreen infotainment system. It supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly. Certain essential features and creature comforts were absent. C3 Shine trim gets some of those.
Shine trim gets electrically adjustable ORVMs and manually dimmable IRVM, adding convenience. On the outside, Citroen has offered a rear defogger, a rear washer and a wiper as well. Along with these, TPMS, ESP and hill assist add a safety net as well. Diamond-cut 15” alloy wheels up C3’s style quotient.
Telematics is in the house too, with over 35 connected car features. Not everything is perfect though. Citroen C3 still lacks a tachometer, electrically foldable ORVM, LED headlights, adjustable headrests, a tachometer, a fully digital instrument cluster and a few other features which rivals offer.
Customisation Options Breathe Youthfulness
There are 10 colours in total. Four monotone and six dual-tone colours make the palette. Monotone colours are Polar White, Zesty Orange, Platinum Grey and Steel grey. Dual tone colours are Polar White, Steel Grey and Platinum Grey body colour with Zesty Orange roof and Polar White, Zesty Orange and Steel Grey body with Platinum Grey roof.
Vibe Pack comprises choices between Zesty Orange and Platinum Grey highlights. Elegance Pack gets chrome add-ons. On the inside, there is a choice between Anodised Orange and Anodised Grey dashboard trim. Citroen offers a ton of customisation options to bring youthfulness to its segment.
PureTech 110 To Be Launched Later
Citroen has taken its turbocharged engine off the shelf across all trim levels. A sole naturally aspirated version of the 1.2L petrol mill is offered. It is called PureTech 82. It generates 82 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed MT. PureTech 110 will be offered at a later date.
Citroen C3 Shine trim weighs 987 kg, enhancing peppiness and returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.3 km/l. Single-tone Shine trim costs Rs. 7.6 lakh. Vibe Pack costs Rs. 12,000 extra and dual tone colour costs Rs. 15,000 more. Shine trim costs Rs. 52,000 more than Feel trim. Added features are justifiable and fortify C3’s position against its rivals. Speaking of rivals, Citroen C3 rivals Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite and soon to be launched Hyundai Exter.
