Mercedes Benz CLA 45 AMG India launch on 22nd July

Showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, Mercedes Benz CLA 45 AMG will be launched in India on the 22nd July. Powered by world’s most powerful 2.0l turbocharged engine in production, CLA 45 AMG will be Mercedes Benz India’s third AMG car launch this year.

mercedes cla 45 amg india launchThe first two being ML 63 AMG and GL 63 AMG. Speaking about the CLA 45 AMG, it was first unveiled early last year. Its Euro VI compliant 2.0l turbo’ed engine delivers 360 PS power and 450 Nm torque. Featuring 4MATIC all wheel drive system with 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7 gearbox, CLA 45 AMG does 0-100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds and has a electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph. In spite of such a powerful engine, and mind-boggling performance figures, CLA 45 AMG delivers a modest mileage of 14+ kmpl.

With three drive modes on offer, Mercedes Benz AMG can be a city car, as well as a race track car with the touch of a button. The three drive modes are M – Momentary Mode, S – Sport Mode, and C – Controlled Efficiency mode. Other features on board include 235/35 R18 as standard (19″ optional), Airbags, ABS, ESP, climate control seats, rear park assist, touch screen, surround sound speakers, steering mounted controls and shift pedals, sports seats, and much more.

CLA 45 AMG is the most affordable AMG till date. Priced at €56,078 in Germany and rather competitively at $47,450 in the US, price of CLA 45 AMG is expected to be in the Rs 70 lakh segment.
