Wonder how a customized Mahindra KUV100 would look like? Well, IndianAutosBlog’s rendering artist Shoeb R Kalania has come up with this interesting image that gives us a fair idea on the upcoming mini crossover’s ability to adopt customization.
The golden yellow paint job and a contrasting black roof serves as a good base for other accessories. The KUV100 is envisioned with headlamp protectors, bumper guard, a rugged silver skid plate, LED spot light on the bumper, new 5-spoke alloy wheels, off-road tyres, blacked out ORVMs and rear door handles, branded rub strips, and a roof rack.
Mahindra’s second crossover is expected to have a starting price low enough to lure prospective customers from the hatchback segment. The car is scheduled to be launched on January 15. Prices are estimated to start at around INR 4.5 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The KUV100 will debut a new mFalcon range of 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The petrol motor 82 bhp and 114 Nm of torque while the oil burner is capable of 77 bhp and 190 Nm of torque.
The mini crossover will be available in four trims namely K2, K4, K6 and K8. Mahindra will offer ABS as standard equipment and dual airbags as an optional extra across all variants (K8 gets standard dual airbags).
Competition will come from the likes of Maruti Swift, Tata Bolt, Hyndai Grand i10 and Ford Figo.
