CV sales were up 19.94% YoY boosted by strong demand across all segments

Commercial Vehicle (CV) sales in Nov 2025 ended on a strong note. Rising infrastructure works along with a healthy improvement in tourism mobility led to a healthy improvement by 19.94% YoY to 94,935 unit sales last month. It was however, a 14.46% MoM decline from 1,10,986 units sold in Oct 2025. Sales ended positively both across the LCV and MCV segments while HCVs also saw double digit growth.

While the commercial vehicle segment as a whole has seen outstanding demand, a breakup across segments too strong improvement. The LCV segment accounted for sales of 58,968 units in Nov 2025, an 18.55% rise over 49,743 units sold in Nov 2024. It however, suffered a 22.37% decline on a MoM basis as against 75,959 units of Oct 2025.

MCV sales also improved by 45.32% YoY to 7,234 units while MoM sales dipped marginally by 0.17%. The HCV segment had 28,659 units retail sales lasts month, a strong 17.61% YoY and 3.28% MoM growth. There had been 27,750 units and 24,367 units sold in Oct 2025 and Nov 2024 respectively. Other CVs added 74 units to total retail sales marking a 15.63% YoY and 138.71% MoM growth. on a YTD basis as well, the CV segment has posted strong growth at 6,82,977 units, a 6.95% rise over 6,38,584 units sold during the same 8 month period of last year.

OEM-wise CV Retail Sales – Nov 2025

Every OEM on this list has recorded strong YoY growth in Nov 2025. Tata Motors, took over from Mahindra in Nov 2025 sales. Mahindra had been the No. 1 OEM in Oct 2025. Tata Motors CV retail sales were up to 33,294 units last month from 28,428 units sold in Nov 2024. Market share currently stands at 35.07%.

In a second position, Mahindra clocked 28,225 unit sales last month from 23,324 units sold in Nov 2024 and also saw a rise in market share to 29.73% from 29.47% YoY. Ashok Leyland retail sales went up to 15,375 units from 12,907 units while VE Commercial Vehicle sales stood at 7,115 units from 5,648 units taking up market share to 7.49%.

A steep rise was also reported by Maruti Suzuki with its CV sales up to 4,531 units in Nov 2025 from 3,746 units sold in Nov 2024. Force Motors accounted for 2,208 unit sales last month from 1,769 units sold in the same month last year. Force Motors is now currently working on the Traveller facelift, and test mules have been sighted showing off a range of updates. Daimler sales grew to 1,666 units from 1,611 units on a YoY basis. Lower down the order was SML Isuzu with 943 unit sales while other OEMs added 1,578 units to the total tally, a YoY growth over 857 units sold in Nov 2024.
