Goa gets India’s first Cycle Party Bus, called Pedibus
Goa becomes the first state in India to offer a pedal vehicle. This ‘cycle party’ is a 10 seater pedal powered vehicle that actively promotes eco friendly sightseeing in the region and was introduced by Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on October 31.
The Pedibus made its way to Goa by young entrepreneurs Heta and Harsh Patel. Goa was selected as the launch site due to its heavy influx of both domestic and international tourists and was hence an ideal testing ground for this eco friendly vehicle.
Pedibus offers easy commuting within the city and undertakes tours through the day from various locations starting with Candolim and Baga. Passengers on this Pedibus can hop on and off as they find fit. The Pedibus travels at a slow pace taking in the sights and sounds of the region.
The Pedibus is made in Goa and bookings can be made online or on the phone from ones hotel. The Cycle Party is open on all sides allowing travellers to feel the natural air while lively Goan music plays in the background. Seating on the Cycle Party is similar to that of a dinner table allowing passengers to interact with each other, sing along, chat or take in Goa’s popular beaches, night life and heritage sites.
