Redi-Go helps Datsun India post their best monthly sales

Buoyed by the Datsun redi-Go’s initial sales performance, Nissan’s budget brand has managed to post an impressive sales growth of 188% in the month of June 2016 (YoY). In the first 23 days of sales, the small car has clocked 3,000 units.

Datsun India’s total sales last month stood at 4,297 units. The company is hoping to maintain the momentum in the coming months as well with┬áthe redi-Go as the primary growth driver.

redi-Go returns a mileage of 25.17 kmpl.

Marketed as India’s first urban-cross vehicle, the redi-Go is based on Renault-Nissan’s CMF-A architecture that also underpins the Renault Kwid. Thanks to an aggressive localization of around 98% and careful spread of features across the variant lineup, Datsun was able to come up with an attractive entry level price point of INR 2.49 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

A fresh design inside out, spacious cabin, low cost of ownership and high fuel efficiency are the redi-Go’s key selling points. Speaking on the fuel efficiency, the 800 cc three-cylinder petrol engine delivers an ARAI certified mileage of 25.17 kmpl. It has 54 PS and 71 Nm of torque in store. Transmission is a 5-speed manual unit.
