DC Avanti sales commence, first owner is Delhi’s Inderjeet Arora
DC Avanti with a price tag of around INR 35 lakhs has been officially launched in India. Limited to an initial batch of 500 units, all of which have already been sold, the new DC Avanti will weigh a total of 1580 kgs.
Its dimensions stand at 4,565mm length, 2,120mm width and 1,200 mm height while ground clearance is at 170mm. New DC Avanti sits on 20” wheels with 255/35 tyres in the front and 295/30 tyres at the rear with 330mm and 295mm ventilated disc brakes at the front and rear respectively.
DC Avanti, the two seater sports car is powered by a 2.0 liter four cylinder turbo petrol engine offering 250 bhp power at 5,500 rpm and 340 Nm torque at 2,750 to 5,000 rpm mated to a six speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in 6 seconds while top speed is pegged at 200 kmph.
DC Avanti abounds in comfort and safety features and is being presented with a host of customization options. Interiors boast of single DIN music system, power steering and electrically adjustable ORVMs while interior colors are available in grey, red, tan and black.
Safety features include ABS, EBD, disc brakes, 3 point seatbelts with pre-tensioners and bi-halogen projector headlamps. Where optional features are concerned, buyers can choose between carbon fiber door pads, bi-xenon head lights, TFT display unit, Alcantara seats, custom camera and smart key with push button start/stop. One outstanding fact, despite all these safety options, DC Avanti is devoid of air bags which is a surprising fact especially for a sports car.
