Together, both partners will offer a Vocational Diploma Program in the automobile sector. 20 Blue Collar Associates of DICV will participate in the inaugural course certified by Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE).

The government-certified program will help development of DICV Blue Collar Associates and help them pursue education while working. The MoU was signed by Mr. Erich Nesselhauf, MD & CEO, DICV and Dr. R. Rudramoorthy, Principal, PSG College of Technology and Dr. B. Giriraj, Principal, PSG Polytechnic College, in presence of Dr. K. Visalakshi, State Coordinator-State Project Coordination Unit (SPCU), Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE).
The Vocational Diploma Programme spans a year and imparts skill training (Level 5 of NVEQF/NSQF) as per AICTE curriculum. PSG Polytechnic College will provide academic knowledge and DICV will be the Skill Knowledge Provider. Upon completion, a Vocational Diploma in Automobile Skill Sector (Level 5 of NVEQF/NSQF) will be awarded. DICV has been offering vocational training to Blue Collar Associates since 2013.
To date, over 75 employees have successfully completed the Vocational Training Program. At present, 96 employees are pursuing various streams of vocational training. The integrated training centre is located at DICV manufacturing plant site in Oragadam near Chennai. In under four years of operation, over 75,000 man-days of training for blue collar associates has been undertaken. In 2015, DICV was recognized as ‘Best Vocational Training Provider’ by ASSOCHAM (The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India).
