Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman, DSK Motowheels today unveiled 2015 editions of already showcased Benelli bikes. This includes TNT 300, TNT 600i, TNT 600GT, TNT 899 and TNT 1130. Three new superbikes, TNT 25, Blackster 250 and Trek Amazonas will be launched in India in the near future and were revealed this afternoon.
DSK Motowheels and Benelli’s association began late in 2014. The five bikes shown at the time will be sold from March 19 2015. 250cc TNT 25, Blackster 250 and 1130cc Trek Amazonas will be available in a price range of Rs 3.5 – 14 lakh. With the Indian superbike market estimated at about 10,000 units a year, growth is expected at 15,000 units in 2015. Harley-Davidson enjoys the lion’s share of the market. Last year, Kawasaki India sold 1480 bikes, and Triumph sold 1300 units here. DSK Motowheels also sells Hyosung bikes in India. This year Ducati is entering India on 18th March. Ducati’s first dealership is under construction by AMP Motors in Sector-34 Gurgaon. Indian Motorcycles too entered the market here in 2014.
Six Hyosung superbikes (250cc – 700cc) are sold from across 41 outlets. Benelli and Hyosung superbikes are to be sold from different dealerships. First phase of Benelli dealerships are being set up in Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. DSK Motowheels will be responsible for assembly and sales, alongwith service and spares.
