Ducati BS4 model discounts up to Rs 2.5 lakh at Mumbai dealership

The BS4 discounts are offered by Mumbai-based dealership, Ducati Infinity

With BS6 emission norms kicking in from 1 April 2020, dealerships of all major classes of vehicles are trying their best to clear out their remaining BS4 stock. The rules mandate that no BS4 vehicle can be legally registered in the country post 31 March 2020. For the same reason, many discounts are being offered at a dealership level across different brands and categories. We have already shared a brief of the average BS4 discounts applicable to major four-wheelers.

On the other hand, thanks to a smooth shift to the new emission standards, many two-wheeler dealerships have successfully sold their entire BS4 inventory. Premium two-wheeler dealerships still have some leftover BS4 units available at substantial discounts. Now, Ducati Infinity, the Mumbai-based dealership of the Italian motorcycle marque is offering attractive discounts on certain BS4 models.

The dealership has released the discount figures applicable to four BS4 Ducati models: Monster 797, Monster 821, Hypermotard 950 and Multistrada Enduro 1200. The discounts range from Rs 1.25 lakh to 2.5 lakh off the ex-showroom (Mumbai) price.

The 797 is the entry-level model in the Ducati Monster range and is priced at Rs 8.60 lakh. After the discount, the figure does down to Rs 7.35 lakh ex-showroom. The higher Monster 821 is offered with a maximum reduction of Rs 1.5 lakh from its ex-showroom price of Rs 10.99 lakh. The Ducati Monster range is one of the most popular naked sports motorcycle range in the industry and locks horns with the Kawasaki Z900, Triumph Street Triple and even the KTM 790 Duke.

The Ducati Hypermotard 950 is a unique choice since the country does not have a wide range of supermotard or supermoto class of motorcycles. At Ducati Infinity, BS4 examples of the same are available at a price cut of Rs 1 lakh. Without the cut, the ex-showroom price stands at Rs 11.99 lakh. At one point, its touring-focused Hyperstrada sibling was available in the country. The motorcycle does not have any direct rivals, but alternatives at varied price points.

Finally on the list is the Ducati Multistrada Enduro 1200 which can be bought at a discount of Rs 2.5 lakh from the ex-showroom figure that stands at Rs 19 lakh. Ducati India has already launched the Enduro 1260 avatar of the famous adventure tourer motorcycle at a starting price of Rs 19.9 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The Enduro 1200 is still a capable motorcycle with minimal shortcomings to be a strong rival to the popular BMW R 1200 GS (replaced by the R 1250 GS).
