With initial outlets at Delhi, Gurgaon and Mumbai, Ducati India has kick started its second innings in the country. Previous experience in India though a distributor didn’t work quite well for the renowned Italian sportsbike maker and hence this time around, the Audi-owned brand has set up shop by directly appointing dealers.
Contrary to earlier reports which suggested that new Scrambler will be the most affordable model in the portfolio, Monster 795 takes that place with a price of INR 6.74 lakh (ex-showroom Haryana). On the road, the naked street fighter will set you back by INR 7.57 lakhs.
Though Ducati India has announced that it will offer Multistrada adventure tourer, Panigale 1299, 1299 S and R models, dealers are currently accepting bookings for the motorcycles listed in the image. In the current portfolio, Ducati Diavel Carbon White emerges as the most expensive product with an on-road price of INR 19.98 lakhs.
At yesterday’s press conference, the two wheeler maker revealed that most number of requests from customers came for Scrambler (which is currently offered only in Icon trim) and Diavel power cruiser. Ducati will gradually increase the number of offerings in India apart from opening new dealerships at Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune before the end of this year.
