Ducati Monster 821 Stealth showcased in Milan ahead of 2018 EICMA

The Ducati Monster 821 Stealth is one of several other motorcycles that made their world premiere at a premium even in Milan ahead of the EICMA 2018 which is set to kick off in the city on 6th of November. The new variant of the entry level Monster range, as its name suggests, comes with a matte black paint job and attractive grey and red accents.

In addition to the special color theme, the Ducati Monster 821 Stealth also receives a funky visor above the headlamp and a color coordinated pillion seat cover. Mechanical upgrades come in the form of fully adjustable 43 mm Kayaba inverted front telescopic fork and Ducati Quick Shift (DQA) system. The additional hardware is expected to improve the riding experience considerably.

Rest of the motorcycle has been left untouched. The Monster 821’s Testastretta L-Twin engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox to dish out 109 PS and 86 Nm of torque. For European customers with restricted A2 license, a detuned version with an output of 35 KW (around 47 PS) is also available.

The engine’s character can be altered by means of riding and power modes. The tech-laden streetfighter also offers Bosch 9.1 ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), TFT Color display, and USB power socket.

The motorcycle tips the scale at 180.5 kg (dry weight) and has a seat height that can be adjustable between 785 mm and 810 mm. The 17-inch alloy wheels are wrapped with meaty 120/70 ZR 17 front and 180/55 ZR 17 Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres.

Ducati hasn’t revealed the prices yet. Not has it mentioned anything about the Monster 821 Stealth being a special edition with limited production run. We expect the new variant to be made available in India sometime next year. Expect the motorcycle to command a premium over the standard variant. The Ducati Monster 821 competes with the likes of Kawasaki Z900 and Yamaha MT-09.
