2018 Ducati Scrambler 1100 launched in India – Price Rs 10.91 – Rs 11.42 lakhs

Ducati Scrambler 1100 has been launched in India. It is offered in a choice of three variants – Standard, Special and Sport. Prices are Rs 10.91 lakhs, Rs 11.12 lakhs and Rs 11.42 lakhs, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom.

Ducati Scrambler 1100 was showcased in November at the 2017 EICMA Show and has already been launched in many global markets. Scrambler 1100 is the top of the line model in the Scrambler series and is seen in a distinctive Ducati Scrambler design language.

Ducati 1100 Standard variant gets color options of ‘62 Yellow’ and ‘Shining Black’, Ducati Scrambler Special is seen in a ‘Custom Grey’ color scheme while Scrambler Sport gets a ‘Viper Black’ body color.

Each of the three variants get standard features among which are an LCD instrument panel offering information on riding mode and traction controls, shining aluminum accents on engine cover, clutch and alternator cover, lowered handlebar position and forward positioned foot pegs.

Bosch cornering ABS and traction control will also be on offer on all three Scrambler 1100 variants. Scrambler Special variant gets black spoke wheels, chrome exhausts, adjustable front forks and gold anodized sleeves. Scrambler Sport receives adjustable Öhlins forks and shocks and yellow sporty accents.

All three variants of the Scrambler 1100 are powered by a 1,079cc, air cooled, L Twin engine also powering the Ducati Monster 1100. This engine offers 85 bhp power at 7,500 rpm and 88 Nm torque at 4,750 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox.

It gets three riding modes of Active, Touring and City. It also gets five level traction control along with ride by wire. Standard and Special variants of Scrambler 1100 gets 45mm Marzocchi USD forks in the front and Kayaba monoshock at the rear with preload and rebound adjustability. In terms of competition, Ducati Scrambler 1100 will compete with Triumph Thruxton R.
