The Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 medium displacement sportsbike is on display at the 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia Auto Show (GIIAS). The motorcycle which targets A2 license holders in Europe is made in Thailand.
In Indonesia, the Scrambler Sixty2 is positioned as a premium medium displacement offering for riders who are looking to upgrade from quarter litre sportsbikes.
The Sixty2 adopts the non-conformist appeal of the bigger Scrambler and only has a few minor visual differences such as regular telescopic front fork (bigger Scrambler uses USD fork), silencer and color options. A slender fuel tank, eccentric instrument dial, circular headlamp, and cantilevered tailpiece are the design highlights.
The Scrambler Sixty2 is available in four variants – Icon, Urban Enduro, Classic and Full Throttle – with different appeals. The bike gets 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels.
Power comes from a 399 cc air-cooled L-Twin engine which produces 41 PS at 8,750 rpm and 34.6 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Braking is courtesy of 320 mm front disc and 245 mm rear disc, both governed by ABS. The Scrambler Sixty2 is equipped with 110/80 R18 front and 160/60 R17 rear Pirelli MT 60 RS tyres.
It remains to be seen whether the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 will be launched in India or not.
