Eicher Trucks and Buses line-up for 2016 Auto Expo revealed

VE Commercial Vehicles, (Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Joint Venture) has confirmed that the company will have a host of future technologies on display at the 2016 Auto Expo.

Set to introduce a number of products in the haulage and tipper truck segments besides new buses by Eicher, VE Commercial Vehicles range will include the Eicher Pro 8000 and Eicher Pro 6000 from the company’s Eicher Pro Series of heavy haulage trucks.

Also on display at the 2016 Auto Expo will be the company’s next generation fleet management solutions and after market services and financial solutions being offered by the company to ensure fleet owners are able to manage fleets on a profitable basis.

Eicher plans for Auto Expo

Vinod Aggarwal, CEO, VE Commercial Vehicles promises best in class fuel efficiency, superior uptime and enhanced driver efficiency on each of these products. On the previous edition of the 2014 Auto expo, the company had showcased a total of 11 commercial vehicles that include models from the 5 to 49 tonne capacities under the Eicher Pro range. A large number of these produced have already made their way into markets across the country.

VE Commercial Vehicles wishes to extend its reach across the country in the future. Expansion of service networks to over 350 outlets, from a current 270 outlets, over the next three years is on the cards.

Sales of VE Commercial Vehicles increased 44.3 percent in December 2015 with 5,068 units sold as compared to 3,512 units sold in December 2014. Domestic sales of Eicher Trucks and Buses stood at 4,114 units in December 2015 as against sales of 3,013 units in December 2014, a growth of 36.5 percent. Exports were at 837 units in the past month as compared to 385 units exported in December 2014, an increase of 117.4 percent.
