Honda Mobilio and Maruti Ertiga price comparison

Honda Mobilio rival Maruti Ertiga now with Rs 30,000 discount

Beaten by new Honda Mobilio in performance, space, and mileage, Maruti has dished out its trump card (read as discounts) in order to stay ahead in the race against Honda’s new Mobilio, which was launched earlier today.

Honda Mobilio rival Maruti Ertiga now with Rs 30,000 discountHonda launched Mobilio MPV today at a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakhs for the base petrol variant, while the base diesel variant comes at a starting price of Rs 7.89 lakhs. On the other hand, base variant of Maruti Ertiga costs Rs 5.78 lakhs and the base diesel costs Rs 7.21 lakhs. (All prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi).

This indicates that the Mobilio is about Rs 70,000 expensive than the Ertiga. But that was before today. Maruti Suzuki dealers across India are now offering a flat discount of Rs 30,000 across all variants, including the newly launched Ertiga Limited Edition (priced at Rs 8.04 lakhs for petrol). So basically, Maruti Ertiga is now being offered at about Rs 1 lakh less than the respective Honda Mobilio variant.

Below is the variant wise price list of Honda Mobilio

Honda Mobilio Petrol

E – Rs 6.49 lakhs
S – Rs 7.51 lakhs
V – Rs 8.78 lakhs

Honda Mobilio Diesel

Honda could have priced the mobilio better especially the second row sliding seats should have been in all models but the mobilio is a better overall package and with a Honda badge and assurance a premium of 1lakh seems justified.
