Khiyar Pasha, 25, is no novice to the bike and has been riding since the age of 14. He enjoys travelling long and challenging distances. In April this year also undertook a Solo Golden Quadrilateral 6,000 kms ride in 9 days. Pasha along with his father, Mehamood Pasha, 45, a retired Indian Coast Guard who rides a Royal Enfield Classic 350, have also undertaken other rides across south India over the years.
On asking why he chose to ride on a Karizma, Pasha claims the Karizma R is his most preferred bike due to its stability and ability to withstand long distance travel. His father however, prefers the Royal Enfield Classic 350. Through this ride, Pasha and his father wish to spread Traffic and Road Safety Awareness.
When asked how they managed to undertake this task, Pasha replies that the three elements of Passion, Confidence and Proper Planning have helped them to undertake this ride.
Any advice for fellow riders? Khiyar says that he also wishes to draw attention to the proper use of safety gear while riding. He feels that when one can afford to purchase a bike worth INR 1 lakh, the purchase of safety gear is a small price to pay for comfort, safety and overall protection.
