FB Mondial HPS 300 CKD production and delivery starts in India

Kinetic owned Motoroyale has launched the new FB Mondial HPS 300 in India. Priced at Rs.3.37 lakhs, ex-sh, this is retro modern styled motorcycle. It is the first time that FB Mondial brand is making its presence felt in India.

Mondial HPS 300 was showcased at the 2017 EICMA Show and is based on the FB Mondial HPS 125. It sports a chiseled fuel tank, a flat seat and knobby tyres and is the most affordable scrambler motorcycle on sale in the country.

FB Mondial HPS 300 is being brought in as a CKD with parts sourced from Italy while assembly is being carried out at the Motoroyale facility in Ahmednagar, in Maharashtra. The company has already received around 100 bookings. Deliveries have now started.

Engine specifications on the FB Mondial HPS 300 includes a Piaggio-sourced 249cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine offering 25.3 PS power at 9,000 rpm and 22 Nm torque at 7,000 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox.

The HPS 300 weighs a total of 135 kgs offering excellent power to weight ratio and gains seat height of 785mm. Suspension is via USD fork in the front and twin gas charged shock absorbers at the rear while braking is via disc brakes at both ends measuring 280mm front and 220 mm rear.

The Mondial HPS 300 sits on 18” wheel in the front and 17” wheel at the rear with tyre sizes of 110/90 R18 up front and 130/70/R17 at the rear. Overall dimensions stand at 2,016mm length, 765mm width and 1,060mm height along with a 1,370mm wheelbase and ground clearance of 155mm. In accordance with new safety norms, the FB Mondial HPS 300 comes in equipped with ABS as standard.

With a price tag of Rs.3.37 lakhs and with all its onboard features and styling, the FB Mondial HPS 300 competes with the BMW G 310 R, KTM 390 Duke.
