Ferrari re-entered the Indian market in 2015 with new dealer appointments. At the end of August 2015, Ferrari California T was launched at an entry price tag of Rs 3.45 cr. The company is now geared up to launch Ferrari 488 GTB tomorrow (February 17, 2016).
Ferrari 488 GTB will drop the cover at the Ferrari showroom, Mathura Road, New Delhi. The launch will be held in the presence of Aurelien Sauvard, International Sales Director, Ferrari Middle Eastand Africa and Yadur Kapur, Director Select Cars Private Limited.
Power comes from a 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and is pegged at 661 hp at 8,000 rpm and 760 Nm torque at 3,000 rpm, and is mated to an automated manual dual-clutch seven-speed F1 gearbox.
GTB ascribes to Gran Turismo Berlinetta. Succeeding the 458 Italia, Ferrari 488 GTB was launched a year earlier in Europe, and goes from 0-100kmph in 3 seconds, 0-200 kmph in 8.3 seconds. Top speed is reported at over 330 kmph.
Ferrari is in India through its partnership with Select Cars Pvt Ltd (Delhi) and Navnit Motors Pvt Ltd (Mumbai).
