Ferrari gets ready to launch cars in India

Back in March 2011, Ferrari appointed Shreyans Group as their official importer and distributor in India. But, in April this year, this partnership agreement was brought to an end due to growing number of Ferrari owners in India expressing their concern over substandard after sales service.

This time around, Ferrari plans to have a solid base. As per people who have knowledge over the development, the Italian marquee plans to keep the management of Ferrari in India under the watchful eyes of their team in Dubai. Ferrari first plans to open dealerships in Bombay and Delhi.

Officials from Ferrari were in India to have meetings with people who already have experience in sales and service of ultra luxury cars. In Mumbai, Ferrari has been in talks with Navnit Motors, who have been handling brands like Rolls Royce, BMW and Land Rover. While in Delhi, they are in talks with Yadur Kapur who takes care of Aston Martin, Rolls Royce and Lamborghini.

It is believed that official announcements will be made in the coming weeks, as Ferrari plans to start selling cars from the first quarter of 2015. They will be bringing their complete range of cars to India, which currently includes – Ferrari RR, Ferrari California T, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, and Ferrari 458 Spider.

ET Auto reveals that Ferrari will also being LaFerrari to India. But, considering that it is a limited edition model and all 499 units have already been sold out. It seems that there are a few lucky buyers in India who have managed to book themselves a LaFerrari, before it was sold out.
