Fiat Avventura Abarth will be India’s first performance oriented pseudo-crossover. Set to be launched later this year, Abarth Avventura has made its debut at Raid de Himalaya.
Powered by the same engine as seen on the Abarth Punto, a 1.4 liter T-Jet turbo engine offering 145 hp power and 210 Nm peak torque, Abarth Avventura will feature reduced ground clearance, stiffened suspension settings, all four disc brakes, 16 inch alloys, ‘Powered By Abarth’ badge, and plastic cladding on all sides.
The TJet motor powers the front wheels via a 6 speed manual transmission. Abarth Avventura will be able to sprint from 0-100 kmph in 9.9 seconds, and will cover a distance of 0-1000m (starting from 0 kmph), in 31.8 seconds. It will deliver a mileage of 17.1 kmpl.
Speaking about the design, Abarth Avventura production variant is expected to be different from the one-off variant seen in the images here. This variant has been developed specially for the rally in which it is currently participating.
The production spec Fiat Avventura Abarth will receive Scorpio badge in the front, on the wheel caps, and on the roof. It will also receive the rear mounted spare wheel, which is missing in the rally version of Abarth Avventura.
Interiors see minor changes with Fiat logo being replaced by Abarth logo on the steering wheel. Other features remain the same as seen on its current Avventura. It also gets Abarth instrument cluster, black seats with red and yellow accents and aluminium sports pedals.
Launch of Abarth Avventura is expected to take place next month.
