While a wait for the film franchise offering continues, 2016 Geneva Motor Show is showcasing a Fiat Kung Fu Panda fun show car. The car will later be auctioned to benefit Conservation International and preserve the habitat of pandas. Pandas are currently red listed as an endangered species.
Kung Fu Panda show car external design elements are in entirety drawn from the cuddly softball. The headlight bezels are in black to mirror panda eyes, and the front grille remains unchanged from the regular model. Other cosmetic changes include an all black roof and rear to copy the panda’s colour scheme.
The black inserts on side panels have been removed, and instead, the rear side panel is blackened. Body colour door handles are replaced with black ones.
The small Italian turned Chinese animation inspired 900 kg black and white offering is every bit a Panda. On the inside, the animal inspired colour theme is used. Black and white upholstery apart, there’s movie themed panda heads printed on the headrests.
The bright yellow seatbelts are striped in brown and reminds one of bamboo shoots. The dashboard is most distinct with artwork that looks like a shadowed bamboo forest. Most interestingly, a Kung fu panda illustration in true character has the animal trying a signature martial art move.
