From Bangalore to Paris in a Fiat Linea T-Jet in 99 days

The 15,000 km journey in in 99 days spans more than 12 countries. It is the first time a family will travel abroad in a Fiat Linea T-Jet. Fiat will extend support en-route. Team L.I.F.E. (Little Indian Family of Explorers) will embark on a northern hemisphere route including Nepal, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Switzerland (Alps), Spain and France. Ground clearance of 185mm should prove to be road friendly. The family of 4 includes Anand Baid, 38 a film-maker, Punita Baid, 36 who a program manager at Native Puppets; and their children, 12 year old Yash Baid, and 8 year old Dhriti Baid.

Fiat Linea T-Jet is powered by a 1368cc 16 valve T-JET petrol engine to return 114 PS with 207 Nm of torque at 2200 rpm. Features include rain sensing wipers, auto headlamps, Auto AC, Blue and Me. Sanjay Gopal, AVP Marketing at Fiat Chrysler India Operations says this is an extraordinary venture. The road trip from Bangalore to Paris is an extensive region to cover. He assures Team L.I.F.E. support, and wishes them the very best for their adventure.

Anand Baid, team member of L.I.F.E says they are equipped with adventure gear and travel kit support, including tents, storage bags, sleeping bags, gps units, tyres, roof-box, sun-films, audio systems, car service and other stuff. He expressed gratitude to family and friends who have come forward to support them. The 15,000 km journey begins at Bangalore. The Baid family will take on tough mountaineous terrains in Kyrgyzstan, a live crater in Turkmenistan, Persian architecture in Iran, swim the Black Sea in Turkey, drive in the Swiss Alps, and soak in beautiful art and culture of France to end the roadtrip. Their journey will be shot into a documentary.
