Fiat adds world’s largest community based traffic, navigation app to their city car Panda

Fiat has launched a special edition of Panda crossover, the new Panda Waze Edition which is designed in association with popular Waze navigation app. This app is integrated into the car’s Panda Uconnect infotainment system and can be controlled via a smartphone.

Displayed on the main display screen, Waze allows drivers to take the less crowded routes, indicates road closures via live data and gives estimated time to reach one’s destination.

Via the Waze app, drivers will also be informed of low tyre pressure or lower levels of fuel. Drivers will get instant updates on the smartphone display and will be able to select best priced fuel stations. Users will have to dock the Android or iOS smartphone to the dash which will instantly give navigation data and real time traffic information.

Fiat Panda Waze edition is based on the Panda Cross but in a more rugged styling. It displays Waze stickers on its front bumper and gets black detailing on roof bars, door mirrors and door handles. It sits on 15” wheels.

Interiors are done up in a titanium and grey color scheme and gets features among which are Bluetooth radio, climate controls, central locking with remote control, height adjustable steering wheel and smartphone holder. In terms of safety, the Fiat Panda Waze receives a total of four airbags, ESC and Hill Hold along with tyre pressure sensor system.

Fiat Panda Waze is powered by a 1.2 liter, straight four gasoline unit offering 68 hp power and 102 Nm torque allowing for acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in 14.2 seconds.
