The Fiat Punto Abarth has been spotted in white color for the first time, ahead of its launch on October 19. Following the 595 Competizione, Punto Abarth is the second go-faster model to be launched by Fiat in India.
Created specifically for the Indian market, the hot hatchback is powered by a pumped up version of the 1.4-litre T-Jet turbo petrol engine which is capable of an impressive 145 PS and a peak torque of around 200 Nm. Mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, the car would have a sub-10 second 0-100 kmph acceleration time.
In order to handle the enhanced performance, Fiat has upgraded the car with disc brakes on all the four wheels and stiffened suspension with reduced ride height.
Visually, the Fiat Punto Abarth differentiates itself from regular variant by means of red contrast decals, racing stripes and accents, exclusive Abarth alloy wheels, and Abarth scorpion badges (there are no Fiat badges on the car). The changes to the interior are limited to exclusive upholstery and machined pedals.
