Fiat Punto Evo India launch on 5th August

Fiat Punto Evo will be launched officially on August 5th in New Delhi and on August 8th in Mumbai. To be available in Active, Dynamic, Emotion and Sport, the new Punto Evo will receive both petrol and diesel engine options, along with new upgrades which were not seen on the present Fiat Punto.

Fiat Punto Evo India launch on 5th AugustFiat Punto Evo will be powered by 1.2 liter and 1.4 liter petrol engines generating 68.22 PS and 89.5 PS respectively. Punto Evo diesel trim will receive a 1.3 liter diesel engine in two states producing 76 PS and 92.72 PS respectively.

On board features will include turn indicators on wing mirrors, automatic door locking, central locking, body coloured bumpers, rear parcel shelf and tilt steering. Interiors will boast of a fully loaded instrument console displaying digital clock, trip meter and mileage indications along with average speed and duration. It also has front airbags, chrome door handles and front fog lamps along with rear AC vents, climate control leather wrapped steering wheel and rear defogger and window washer and wiper.

Sitting on 16” alloy wheels, the new Punto Evo top variant (Sport) will see premium infotainment and safety features such as Bluetooth controls, steering mounted audio, auto door locks, and ABS. Colour options will include Glitternti Gold, Magnesio Grey, Exotica Red, Minimal Grey, Hip Hop Black, Vocal White and Tuscan Wine.

Once launched, Fiat Punto Evo will compete with the likes of Maruti Swist, Volkswagen Polo, and soon to be launched Honda Jazz. Price rang for new Punto is expected to be Rs 5-8 lakhs.

    it is sad that FIAT refused to up the engines.
    But one question is that , is the current punto remain on sale with “classic” moniker like the linea classic, (hopefully with price cuts) or will they discontinue the car, cuz this is ultimately a facelift
