First locally manufactured M-Class Mercedes Benz ML 250 CDI launch will better compete with Audi Q5 and BMW X3


In preparation for upcoming festive season, Mercedes Benz is all set to launch their ML 250 CDI on 10th October 2012. This is a smaller engined version of the recently launched ML which is expected to see much demand specially in among the increased number of buyers opting for SUVs in recent times.

ML 250 CDI will possess a four cylinder 2143cc diesel engine producing 204 bhp at 4200 rpm and torque of 369 lb/ft at 1600 to 1800 rpm. Prices are expected to be in the Rs.55 to Rs.58 lakh bracket. The Mercedes Benz ML 250 CDI will possess a 2.1 liter turbodiesel engine mated to a seven speed automatic, four wheel drive transmission. Auto emissions will stand at 165 g/km while fuel economy is at 44.8 mpg. The vehicle will have the power to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 9.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 125mph.

As is expected from the stables of Mercedes Benz, the ML 250 CDI will come with a host of driving assist features and safety systems. Lane keeping, intelligent lighting and blind spot warning are expected to be seen on the new ML 250 CDI and with just a few days to go for launch, further details and specifications will be made known.
