Called Renault Selection, today was the launch of Renault India’s first ever used car dealership, which is now open in Bangalore. Here, Renault will be buying, servicing and selling pre-certified cars of all brands to their customers. They will also be providing exciting exchange deals for those customers who want to sell their old car (any brand) in return of a brand new Renault car.
All Renault certified used cars will come with warranty of upto 1 Year or 20,000KM with cashless warranty claims available at over 1,000 authorized workshops in India. The warranty comes with 24×7 Road Side Assistance (RSA) for the same period.
Renault Selection Bangalore has been launched in association with their partner Trident Auto. The state of the art facility is built over an area of 21,000 square feet and is located in Whitefield. It is designed in such a away, that at any given point of time, 100 cars can be parked in the facility. This helps customers to choose from a wide-range of options.
Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Sumit Sawhney, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India, said that the used car market business is growing at a tremendous pace in India. In terms of numbers, used car business is already bigger than new car business and by 2020, it will be twice as big.
Speaking about competition, Mahindra First Choice is the largest player in the segment as of now, with 1.4 lakh vehicles sold in FY15. They already have over 400 outlets across India, and aim to close the FY2016 with 500 outlets. Renault India did not reveal the number of used car dealerships they plan to open, but they did say that their network will cover spread across the country in 2 years.
