Force Trax MPV is already very famous in rural areas for the ability to carry street load of people across villages, although it didn’t help much in volume sales compared to Tata Sumo or Mahindra Bolero. Now it seems the Indian automaker has added another row of seats to the MUV, increasing the occupant count. There are different variants of Force Trax already with varying seating capacity, but this test mule seems like it has added 3 more seats.
The seven-door Force Trax variant is based on the same platform as other Force MUV models, including Trax Gama and Trax Cruiser. The Trax series is currently offered in four versions, namely Gama (9+D), Cruiser (9+D, 13+D), Toofan (11+D) and Ambulance.
All Trax models from Force Motors share the same BS III certified 2,596 cc 4-Cylinder Direct Injection diesel engine, producing 60 hp max power @ 3,200 rpm and 158 Nm peak torque @ 2,000 – 2,200 rpm, mated to 5-speed manual transmission.
Much like the other variants, Force Trax seven door model would feature basic interiors and frugal materials. Expect this extended variant to launch in a few months.
