Ford Aspire facelift bright red colour spied at dealer – Parked next to EcoSport

Having  made its international debuts, Ford now gears up for launch of 2018 Ford Figo and Aspire Facelift in India. Production of these two models have already commenced from the Ford plant in Sanand, Gujarat from where they will also be exported to global markets. Of the two, it will be the Ford Aspire sedan which will first be launched.

Ahead of launch, Ford has started dispatching cars to their dealers across India. One such dealer is in Chennai, who has received a couple of new Ford Figo Aspire sedans. New video shows the updated Aspire Facelift in detail, revealing front, rear, inside, dashboard, touchscreen, etc.

Exterior updated include new front grille design with chrome accents, large headlamps and a new rear bumper design along with blackened lower portion and sporty alloy wheels. Interiors get revamped with a new dashboard design, a 6.5” touchscreen infotainment system with Ford SYNC3 technology, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Engine specifications include new 1.2 liter, 3 cylinder Dragon Series petrol engine, which is also seen powering the Freestyle. This new petrol engine offers 95 bhp peak power and 120 Nm peak torque. Where diesel engine options is concerned, the Figo Aspire continues to be powered by the same 1.5 liter diesel engine seen on their earlier counterpart. Watch the detailed video below.

This engine produces 99 bhp power and 215 Nm torque. Both engines get mated to 5 speed manual gearbox. Petrol variant would get automatic gearbox option as well. This new petrol engine could offer fuel efficiency of 19 kmpl while the diesel engine will offer 24.4 kmpl.

Speaking about price, the Ford Figo hatchback could be priced from Rs 5.6 lakhs, while the Ford Aspire compact sedan could be priced from Rs 5.8 lakhs, ex-showroom. 2018 Ford Aspire facelift will compete against Maruti DZire, Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze and Volkswagen Ameo, while the Figo will rival Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Swift.
