Ford B-MAX, the compact five seater people carrier is on sale and priced at £12,995. Though this impressive MPV has recently appeared in dealer showrooms six weeks ago, sales have already surpassed the 1000 mark with over 2,500 orders received even before that. B MAX is set to take on the likes of Kia Venga, Toyota Verso S and Renault Modus and is offered with a unique door system, class leading technological features and highly fuel efficient powertrain.
Ford B-MAX integrates B pillar structure into its rear doors which adds a 1.5 meter opening when both front and rear sliding doors are opened. This system allows better and more efficient side loading, entry and exit and once rear seats are folded down, additional storage space as well.
Its engine will include a 1.0 liter EcoBoost petrol engine which received the International Engine of the Year 2012 award besides the Dewar Trophy. This engine is available with 100PS and 120PS and fuel consumption of 57.7 mpg while auto emissions stand at 114g/km. Ford B-MAX is also available with 1.4 liter and 1.6 liter Duratec engines mated to PowerShift six speed automatic transmissions.
Where state of the art technology is concerned, one will find Ford B-MAX showcasing SYNC, voice activated and in-car connectivity system allowing for connectivity of mobile phones and music systems with Bluetooth and USB. It also enables hands free telephony, control of music through voice controls and a system whereby test messages will be read aloud.
