Ford EcoSport priced in Malaysia from approx Rs 18 lakhs

Ford EcoSport Malaysia launch

Ford Malaysia distributor Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC) has officially launched the much awaited EcoSport compact SUV in Malaysia. Priced at a starting price of RM 92,888 (Rs 17.8 lakhs), Ford Malaysia offers EcoSport in five colour options and two trims, both powered by a 1.5l TiVCT petrol engine.

Ford EcoSport Malaysia launchLaunched in India at a starting price of Rs 5.6 lakhs, Ford EcoSport is now formally launched in Malaysia in two trim levels – Titanium and Trend with prices ranging from RM93k-RM104k (INR 17,83,889 to 19,94,886).

With full specifications and brochure revealed, Ford EcoSport Titanium and Trend trims are powered by 1.5 liter Ti-VCT engines offering 110 PS at 6,300 rpm and 142 Nm torque at 4,400 rpm mated to six speed Powershift dual clutch transmission. The five seater EcoSport measures 4,273 mm long (including spare wheel on rear door), 1,765 mm wide and 1,675 mm tall while sitting on a wheelbase measuring 2,519 mm. It has boot capacity of 362 liters which can be extended to 705 liters once rear seats are turned down and fuel tank capacity stands at 52 liters.

The Titanium trim receives leather upholstered seats, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear level while driver seat comes with lumbar support. Features on board include automatic climate control, auto lights and wipers besides power sunroof. The base Trend trim gets fabric seats with manual air conditioning and key ignition. On board features include front and rear fog lamps, telescopic steering adjustments and steering mounted audio controls.

Ford EcoSport is being offered in five exterior colors. Trend trim gets an exclusive Candy Red while Titanium receives Mars red and Winning Blue. Midnight Sky and Frozen White are offered on both trims. For more information, scan through the brochure below.
