Ford India is soon to launch the new 2018 Ford Aspire and 2018 Ford Figo. Stocks of the current Ford Figo and Aspire has already dried up at some dealerships in India. But those who still have old stocks, are selling them at hefty discounts. The pre-facelift Ford Figo and Aspire are being presented at a cash discount of Rs 1 lakh and 0% interest finance schemes. This offer is valid the end of July.
Speaking about the upcoming facelift variants – the 2018 Figo facelift gets both exterior and interior updates while engine specs will also see some changes. The new Ford Figo gains a hexagonal front grille, restyled bumpers, new head and tail lamp designs and new alloy wheels.
Interiors will also be seen with a redesigned central console, SYNC 3 infotainment system with a 5.6” color touchscreen, new infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a dashboard sporting the same design as that seen on the Ford Freestyle. In terms of safety, the 2018 Ford Figo Facelift gets dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, reverse parking sensors and rear view camera.
2018 Ford Aspire also gears up for launch. It will be seen with a new hexagonal grille with honeycomb mesh inserts, new headlamps and taillamps along with new alloy wheels. Interiors will be in a new black and beige color scheme, SYNC 3 infotainment system and 6.5” floating display.
Both Ford Aspire and Figo will get engine options which are already seen on the Freestyle. These are 1.2L Ti-VCT 3 cylinder petrol and 1.5L TDCi 4 cylinder diesel engine – both of which will be mated to all new 5 speed manual transmission. It will also get automatic option.
Ford Figo and Aspire compete with the likes of Maruti Swift and Dzire in India. The two cars are manufactured at the company plant in Sanand in Gujarat. Their sales have been disappointing for the company. Launch of updated versions could bring in more sales.
