Set for sales across Brazil from early 2017, Ford Ka Trail (Ford Figo Cross) gets detailed at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show. Even as engine specifications have not been revealed as on date, it is expected that the new Figo Cross will be powered by a 1.5 liter four cylinder petrol engine offering 110hp peak power and 146 Nm peak torque mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.
Ford Figo Cross receives a more muscular stance as compared to its regular model while host of cosmetic updates on board the Ford Figo Cross include aggressive front grille, swept back headlamps and a new bumper design.
It also receives blackened out fog lamp enclosure and silver skid plates while it sits on 15” gun metal alloy wheels fitted with dual purpose tyres. To add a sportier appeal, wheel arches get black plastic cladding, ORVM caps are also blackened while door handles and roof rails sport a similar color scheme with Trail body decals.
Interiors receive fabric and leather upholstery with contrasting stitching in orange and green, sporty pedals and door sill plates and other sporty accents to enhance the design and innovative spirit of the model. It is this sense of sportiness and rugged stance that will make the Ford Figo Cross appeal to young and adventurous buyers on its official launch.
Launch in Brazil is expected sometime in early 2017 and while there is no official word from the automaker. But considering that a host of manufacturers offer cross hatchbacks in the country, Ford India could also be planning to launch the same her in 2017.
