Ford Freestyle gets new ‘Ruby Red’ paint for festive season – Video walkaround

Ford Freestyle cross hatch, launched in April 2018, now gets an update with a new color scheme and is set for launch just ahead of the festive season in India. Set to attract a younger and more adventurous segment of buyers in the country with the new ‘Ruby Red’ color scheme, the Ford Freestyle will also get body colored ORVMs and adjustable rear passenger headrests as a part of its updates.

Along with the new Ruby Red color scheme, the Ford Freestyle will continue to be presented in 6 color options of Absolute Black, White Gold, Oxford White, Canyon Ridge, Mooniest Silver and Smoke Grey. It is currently offered in four variants – Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+, with petrol and diesel engine options.

New Ford Freestyle sees a host of safety features which are offered right from the base model. These include ABS, EBD, front dual airbags, engine immobilizer, reverse parking sensor, door ajar warning and seal belt reminder for driver, co passenger and passengers at the rear. The Ford Freestyle is also seen with anti theft alarm and rear fog lamps.

Safety features on top end variants include push start/stop feature, electrically adjustable ORVMs, automatic air conditioning, keyless entry, hill launch assist, traction control and electronic stability program. Take a look at the walkaround video below.

Ford Freestyle, with the updates and new color scheme will see no change in engine specifications. It will be powered by the same 1.2 liter petrol engine offering 94 bhp power and 120 Nm torque and a 1.5 liter diesel engine capable of 99 bhp power and 215 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. Fuel efficiency is at 19kmpl and 24 kmpl on petrol and diesel engines respectively.

Ford Freestyle cross hatch takes on the Maruti Celerio X, Tata Tiago NRG with prices set to start at Rs 5.23 lakhs, going up to Rs 7.89 lakhs for the top end Titanium+ variant.
