Ford dealers send relief supplies to Staten Island residents affected by Hurricane Sandy

Ford dealers from Hattiesburg have offered assistance in the form of food, clothing and accessories to residents of Staten Island who suffered in the recent Hurricane Sandy which tore into the East Coast of the United States. Ford dealers collected over 80 pallets of canned foods, blankets, bottled water, diapers, personal care items, etc to fill a semi truck trailer. This trailer will head to Dana Ford Lincoln in Staten Island, New York while company dealerships centers will serve as distribution hubs.

Ford dealers include Courtesy Ford in Hattiesburg; Pine Belt Ford, Purvis; Woolwine Ford, Collins and Laurel Ford Lincoln Laurel will be collecting these items which they have asked local communities to donate wherein they have received overwhelming response.

Besides these initiatives taken by Ford dealers, Ford Motor Company Fund and Ford employees also donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross for assistance to those who were affected by Hurricane Sandy. Another initiative being offered by Ford Motor Company is a $500 bonus cash saving off price of vehicles to those who have lost their vehicles in the recent Hurricane Sandy. This offer will be available on 2012 and 2013 model year Ford or Lincoln vehicles.
