Formula One Hindi anthem comprises of F1 track song and our national anthem for 2011 Indian Grand Prix
An anthem specially composed for the 2011 Indian Grand Prix was released last week at the formal opening of Buddh International Circuit (BIC). F1 in India, which is to be held during the 28th-30th October has now got itself a Hindi anthem. The tune to the song Hum Mein Raftaar, Jeene Baar Baar is composed by none other than Leslie Lewis of Colonial Cousins and he will sing along with Daler Mehndi, Lucky Ali and KK. The Indian F1 anthem will be performed live at the Grand Prix on October 30 has created quite an excitement amongst the artistes.
Daler Mehndi who also performed at the Commonwealth Games is enthusiastic about this new venture which would create a new opportunity for all four singers. The Indian F1 anthem will appeal to both young and older audiences. Daler Mehndi who is also a keen car enthusiast is happy to be get into the enthusiasm of the F1 races where he will be playing a role in launching of its anthem. He said, “It’s an interesting composition by Leslie, with the F1 track song and our national anthem, Jana Gana Mana… incorporated. It should appeal to both the young and the old.”
The Bhangra artiste loves cars, and the three cars in his garage include a Range Rover. He’s not one to meet his need for speed nee on Indian roads but makes up for it on trips abroad. This is what he has to say in regards to F1, “As for the F1, so far I’ve been watching the races on TV, now I’ll get to watch the action live. It’s a proud moment for India… and a proud moment for me knowing that I’ll be a part of history.”
