Gautam Singhania represents India in 350 car convoy for golden Lamborghini Anniversary Grand Tour
A total of 350 supercars built by Lamborghini will take a tour across Italy to mark the 50th anniversary of the Italian luxury and super sports car maker. These vehicles will take a tour over a distance of 745 miles across Italian countryside between May 7-11. Gautam Singhania from India will drive a Lamborghini Murcielago. The 1200 km long drive would be nothing less than spectacular as the 350 car convoy by itself commands a length of 4 km.
This grand tour will get off to a flying start from the Piazza Castello in Milan wherein these 350 cars will add up to a total of 190,000 hp on the road. In all, 700 people from across 29 countries right from Canada to New Zealand will be taking part in the anniversary celebrations. There will be 71 vehicles coming in from the UK while Italy, Germany and Switzerland will bring in 30 each followed by 21 vehicles from America and 17 coming all the way from China.
Where the participants are concerned, there will be a mix of young and old drivers with the youngest being a 22 year old from Kuwait and the oldest being a 75 year old French national. The vehicles on tour will include 3 – 350 GTs, 5 – 400 GTs, 17 Miuras, 8 Espadas, 2 Jaramas, 6 Urracos, 15 Countaches, 1 LM 002, 21 Diablos and 36 Murcielagos which will take the grand tour along with 123 Gallardos which are entering in the registered category and 30 cars will consist of media and guests who will go along the grand tour.
These cars are seen lining up at the parc ferme at Piazza Castello in front of Sforzesco Castle along with drivers and co drivers. The tour will head to Bobbio after which it will go on to Bologna before heading to Sant’Agata, the headquarters of Lamborghini where it will end with a special dinner in celebration of the special anniversary.
