GM India appoints new VP for Marketing, Sales and After Sales

With effect from January 1, 2013, Rajesh Singh will take over as new Vice President – Marketing, Sales and After Sales at General Motors India. Rajesh Singh will replace Ashwani Muppasani, who had assumed this role on an interim basis in August 2012 and moves on to assume a new role of General Manager with GM India.

On assuming office, Rajesh Singh will be responsible for all Vehicle Sales, Service along with Marketing strategies at GM India. Singh will operate from the company’s corporate office in Gurgaon while he will have to report to the GM India President and Managing Director.

Rajesh Singh has over 20 years of experience in sales, service and marketing having started his career with Maruti in 1992 where he has held various offices both at regional and national levels. In 2012, Singh joined Havells India Limited as Senior VP Sales and Marketing and now gets ready to assume his new office from the start of 2013. Rajesh Singh holds a PGDM from IIM Calcutta and B.Tech. from IIT Delhi.
